Bosun's chair Griffon MK1

On the MK1 Griffon the halyards are run back to the cockpit through a pulley system, are those pulleys strong enough to cope with a 15 stone lump of lard going up the mast?
Also I have Lewmar 7 winches on the cabin roof, I have noticed that they are mounted with 'penny washers' on the underside, should there a plate there to spread the weight?

The lard should go up the mast provided you have a winch and wincher to move it. Use your genoa winches if possible, so alter the halyard run to accommodate.

No need for a plate, penny washers are usual.
