Getting my dinghy and outboard sorted I hope for summer cruise. Dealer advises new fuel so have to empty old fuel. These engines have to be kept one way up so what is best way to empty fuel tank?

Use your Pela oil extractor or syphon it out. You can possibly tip it out keeping the engine the right way up, the issue with right and wrong way is draining the oil from the sump into the engine’s nether regions

Well just tipped it out keeping engine the right way up. Seems to be ok. Put in new premium unleaded and it is running well in my garage.

I have the same outboard. When I put it away last season I drained the carburettor but left the tank about 2/3rds full. This season I topped up the tank with fresh fuel and it ran fine. No issues.
