Westerly sink pump

Post by josephcrawley » Sat May 26, 2018 10:56 pm

Are these units serviceable? Mine is gummed up. I can get a pump out of it every 5 minutes or so. The pedal goes down and very slowly returns. If not what pump will fit?

Your post does not give enough information to identify what pump you are talking about.

It is most likely to be a Whale pump. It might be a V pump, a Flipper or a separate foot pump to a spout.

This Google search might help.

Many Whale pumps have spares available from ASAP Supplies.

If you've got as far as completely dismantling it, it might work OK if you clean, lubricate and remantle it. (If that's not a word, it should be.) Maybe check the pipes as well.

I shouldn't use the meat cleaver though.
