Volvo Penta Tachometer

Post by paulclarke12 » Thu Aug 21, 2014 11:06 am

Hello
The tachometer on a Seahawk 35 Volvo 2003 engine has stopped working. Does anyone know where I could find a replacement or have the unit repaired?
Thanks
Paul

Hello,
The same thing happened on the tachometer on our VP 2003 when we had a new alternator fitted. It turned out that a ( quite inaccessible ) fuse was the culprit, so you may want to have it checked before replacing.
Good luck
Barry

Thanks Barry and Linda. Have sorted it silly me put the neg wire in wrong place when replacing alternator. Now have a new problem anyone know where I can obtain new trip switches for the original panel on the Sea Hawk 34. Two have failed and the previous owner rewired the circuits to miss them out. Would like to return to original wiring. yours Paul 12.

Contact Brian Kinder of http://www.kddpowercentre.co.uk. He made the original panels and is still making new ones.
