Links in forum alert emails

Post by ex-Stormy Monday »

I run Outlook 2002 as an email client and Internet Explorer 6. When I click a link on an alert email informing me of a new posting or a new PM, it opens the appropriate forum page in one of my open browser windows, sometimes hijacking something to which I wished to remain connected (such as webmail or a large pdf that I was using for research purposes). This is extremely frustrating. Is there any way of instructing these links to open a new window (as there is in the browser itself)?

Tom,
if you download and install Mozilla Firefox, there are all sorts of things you can do.

It will either open a new window, or a new tab in the window that is open. Plus lots of other features.

IMO it is a lot better than windoze.

Philip.
