I have a removable inner forestay fitted to my Westerly Oceanlord. I am enquiring about the size of a storm sail for this yacht.

Thanks,

John

I'd suggest you measure the available luff length and contact Roger Lees in Crusader Sails, he will give you a recommended size.

Out of interest, where does your inner forestay attach? And if to a dedicated deck fitting, do you have a strop between the underside of that to the anchor locker bulkhead in the forepeak, or simply a big metal plate and additional lay-up under the fitting?

Mine was fitted as an extra by Westerlys. It's fitted to a U bolt just aft of the anchor winch, and below its just aft of the anchor locker bulkhead and has a metal plate as a backing plate, can't tell you the size but it's not that big.

Thanks...If that's the U bolt I'm thinking of (which I use for attaching a block for a downhaul) it isn't especially beefy!
