Which non slip deck paint?

Post by Sailordoc » Sat Apr 11, 2015 12:30 pm

hi all,

The non slip deck paint on my Berwick is looking very tired, and I will need to strip and replace at some point. I'm not too bothered about which shade of blue I use, but which non slip paint would people recommend? I don't fancy Kiwigrip as it looks rather a hassle to apply, but am open to suggestions as to what people have found useful.

Cheers,

Dennis

Kiwigrip is very expensive. Following on from a deck paint test I read some time back, they mentioned Sandtex exterior masonry paint. Well, I used Fleetwood masonry paint which costs a fraction of the price of yacht deck paint, its only been applied since November but I have no reason to believe if it lasts 10 years on a house that it wont be just as good on a boat. You may need to add some grit, I didn't as it was on top of International non slip .
