Hi. This may sound like a daft question. But does anyone know if their Vetus water lock in a riviera with 2003t breathes in use. As in pulses slightly as it expels water? Doubt it matters if it's in a riviera or ocean lord etc.
Thanks
Paul

In my Fulmar I have a water lock that breathes into the cockpit, so when motoring the cockpit sole does get slightly wet.

Roger,
Is it the waterlock that breaths or the anti syphon valve at the high point after the exhaust elbow?

I will have to check as I am not on the boat at present and I do not have any photos I can look at.

Paul,
I'm not sure if mine on the Konsort does this but it wouldn't surprise me especially when it has got hot. The pressure would do this I think.

Re: Volvopenta 2003t water lock in riviera
Thanks all for your replies. Just to clarify the water lock expands slightly in Rythmic sort if fashion as the water is getting pushed out and then builds up again. Nothing to do with breather outlets. A little bit like panting. Have a pal with konsort and much smaller water lock and his doesn't. But it's at least half the size if not smaller.
Cheers
