Fulmar exhaust hose size

Hello All

Having gleefully taken ownership of a lovely 89 Fulmar, the insurance company are insisting I attend to the "immediate attention" items on the survey immediately. One of which is to replace the aft, section of the exhaust hose. Its Vetus and its a Volvo 2002 engine. It looks fine to me and to the boatyard technician though I can see a few tiny cracks at one point. As I forgot to measure it, does anyone happen to know the dimensions? Its the section from the water trap to the stern of around two metres in length. Many thanks.

My exhaust measures 50mm.

I replaced some of mine on my fulmar last yr it was 45mm internal diameter

Thanks for that. Seems to agree with 50mm external. Do you reckon 2meters is enough?

50mm was the internal dimension as I measured the diameter of the exit pipe from the Vetus water trap. The exhaust pipe is fairly standard so 45/50mm will get you the right size to fit.

Tonight as I am working on my Fulmar and I will check how long my exhaust is and post later.

Did you buy the Fulmar in France?

From the water trap you need 3 metres as the pipe has a loop to the deck. Add another metre to the manifold.
