My Konsort Duo has fuel which is bitty and the tank needs cleaning.
As the tank can't be removed easily and it does not have an inspection
hatch-I was wondering if any member managed to clean their tank.
Any tips would be very welcome .Thanks.

Re: cleaning tank.advice needed
Hi I used parafin to clean mine, seems to work, take the fuel tap out and clean that separately as mine was all gunged up!

Vivtom,
as a matter of interest, does your tank have two take-offs at the bottom?
I also have a Duo, and when we bought her, the fuel line to the filter was from the lowest take-off. I would have thought this was for the "contaminants" drain.
I ran the fuel very low on a trip to the CI, and when the fuel was below the upper take-off, I fitted a fuel valve with a blank. Over the winter, I changed the fuel line to the filter from the lowest to the upper take-off. I can now drain contaminants from the lowest take-off.
I later fitted a pressure-system fuel tank level indicator to the lower take-off, with a small capillary tube to the transducer above the fuel tank upper level. The more up-to-date system does away with the tube, as I have to "blow it down" occasionally to ensure it is clear of any blockage.
You can see a more up-to-date system from http://www.hendersons.co.uk/boattank/ta ... ensor.html
or my link at http://www.westerly-owners.co.uk/woafor ... evel#p7977 It has gone up in price since I bought mine!
