had midnight ketch covered Albert, was in Essex in the UK, and Sea Major if I remember correctly was for sail in the U.S.
I haven't updated the running list for ages but all news is good news!

the search continues...

fair wind, Cmh

Just a short note to advise that 'Westerly Serenade' arrived back in Chile in February after an uneventful 44 day passage from Tauranga, NZ. She had spent the previous 16 months under refit in NZ... 8 months out of the water, then 8 months putting everything back on board and getting her ready for sea. I'll post a few details under 'hull, deck, rigging and sails' as it involved all of them....and a bit besides.

It has just recently been brought to my attention that Westerly Serenade is not SD39 but is in fact SD 35.

SD39 is 'Lordship'.

Sorry about any confusion.

Frank,
still in Chile.

Hola Frank,
so how's the "new" Serenade doing? Everything's working as planned and done in NZ? Or any new projects arising?
I thought Golfo de Corcovado is for tropic wimps. Fair winds,

The new Serenade is going well, but there is still a job list... no fridge or heater at the moment... converted from tballs to tangs on the lowers a few weeks ago... I sleep better now....

Hello all

My name is Adam, my girlfriend Lauren and I have owned a Sealord for a year now and love her dearly. She was original named Outreach and has the sail number of SD10 located in southampton. Its great to be apart of a small number of owners. This forum is a great resource however i haven't been able to find out about mounting an auto pilot.

I would be very grateful if anyone could advise me on how their autopilot has been mounted to the quadrant? i have a ray marine liner drive i bought at the london boat show this year and really want to get this job done to enjoy this season.

Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you all soon.
All the best Adam

Hello Adam,
Not sure how you would mount your unit but my boat has a Lewmar/Whitlock/Mamba rotary drive mounted directly under the deck below the pedestal.

Has your boat gone all these years without an autopilot?

Cheers,
Frank

First have a look at your quadrant....take some pictures and then post them here. Westerly will have used standard steering systems so find out what yours is and then try googling the details. Whitlock made a lot of them and they have a uk agent....Whitlock South....the owner Cliff is very helpful.
