hello!

Post by NeilBraun » Tue Mar 03, 2015 5:17 pm

I have just discovered that my first post didnt make it, this is what I get for using a phone!
Anyhow, my name is Neil and I have a wonderful 1966 Westerly 25 that I am bringing back up to snuff. I just had her in the yard for bottom work, blisters, paint and a keel exam, also some rigging and random other fun.
Shes one year older than I am and there's something oddly thrilling about that.
Anyhow, shes happyly back in the water now and bobbing around like she wants to go somewhere.
I have loads of questions, but will save those for other posts.

Cheers!
Neil

Hi Neil,
As others have mentioned there is a fantastic amount of information to be found in the WOA. I'm just about to start my 3rd season afloat in my 1979 Berwick. My first year of ownership was "trying to get things sorted" and the advice on this site was worth it's weight in gold.
Happy sailing.

John "Waka Tiki".

Thanks again, this time to John...
I keep getting sidetracked and not doing stuff on the web, and thus neglecting sites like this one...
That and using a phone for this stuff is not ideal.
So Im back on the computer where my thumb is not the size of the keyboard and my attention span is longer than the speed of annoyance is quick.
The phone, while irritating, has allowed me to read a lot of stuff here and I have learned a fair amount.

Thanks again for the welcome!

Cheers!
Neil, and soon to be properly named, Ingrid.

Birdy and I have moved onto Ingrid full time, here's a photo of where we are now...

OK no photo, Dropbox is failing so I will have to read about something I thought I knew how to do....
