Introducing myself and my Konsort

Post by Quintessence » Fri Jan 23, 2015 12:03 pm

Greetings all
Finally here with our new Konsort, Quintessence and thought I would say hello. I recognise a few names from the YBW forum (as Fairweatherdave) but I thought I would limit my Konsort specific questions to here until or if I get stuck. I also know the Yahoo group and might post there but I'm here for the time being! My questions will probably be maintenance / techy ones, but as not always having the time or inclination I reserve the right just to know what I ought to do even if I then carry on doing it wrong or ignore the solution and live with the consequences :) ! I'm not crossing any oceans yet just pottering about the Solent at best or even just stuck anchored in Chichester harbour a grand two miles from our mooring at Emsworth. But I do a bit of proper sailing each year to return our boat to Shoreham for the winter lay up. Anyhow time to do a proper post witha couple of Konsort questions. Cheers Dave

Welcome to the Forum Dave.

No doubt you will be very pleased with your Konsort, they are very popular boats. Do start a thread on what you do with Qunitessence as I feel sure it will be very popular like mine on the renovations to Concerto.

There are several very knowledgeable Konsort owners who should be able to help with most of your Konsort queries.

If you have not yet joined the Association then I would strongly recommend it as it gives access to previously published technical articles.

Wishing you plenty of excellent fair weather sailing.

Welcome Dave, I had a Konsort for many years and did quite a bit of work to her.
I bought her from Emsworth.

Thanks folks, I feel welcomed!
Roger, I've had a good read through your thread on Concerto. Good stuff and an impressive amount of work in the timescale.... you will probably find out how I get on but I suspect it will be a lot slower due to those other bits of life that get in the way....

Just a query anyone. I have been in my profile and I have subscribed to forums/threads in the manage my subscriptions section. Should I receive e mails whenever someone contributes to a thread, as I am not getting any at the moment? Or do I have to be logged in to the forum?

You should get an email if you've subscribed. Let me know if you don't. I get emails even if I just post, let alone subscribed :)

Thanks. The penny has dropped. For some reason they were in my spam that I never ever check. Sorted.
