EXTRA WATER TANK(S) ON A PENTLAND KETCH
I have a 20 gals water tank under the Fwd Bunk area (like most people). I am looking to increase my water carrying capacity as we go further afield, currently we carry an extra 20 gals in cans under the bunks in the Aft cabin. I want to get rid of these and put extra tank(s) in somewhere (on top of ...

Re: Pentland rudder removal
Hi Ian,
I own a Pentland called Walkabout (PD222) and the rudder was dropped to upgrade my shaft. The boatyard done the work for me...So I know a man who will know how to do it. Am willing to ask if you haven't already completed the task.
Regards

Re: Pentland Osmosis problem ???
Hi Steve, I had the same problem on my Pentland(1979) but on my coach roof (in small patches but not all over), I think it was due to the heat over the years. The way I went about it was; I purchased a DREMEL Drill with the little grinding bits. The bits are small enough to get into each blister, I ...

Re: Tempest hull trim with logo
I had the same problem on my Pentland, I took the lot off and painted the thick plum line in using interlux, Then went to my local sign and logo man and he made up the name and westerly logo up for me on his machine and then cut it out for me in self adesive gold colour (you can have whatever colour...

Re: INNER FORESTAY FOR PENTLAND
Hi David,
Just got back from 3 months away on the yacht, so only just picked up your e mail. If you would like to give me a ring, I will see if I can help/guide you on the fitting etc. My number is in the WOA handbook.

Re: Centaur - crack near window
Hi Chris, This is a very common problem, does your 'inner' baby stay rigging come to the top of the coach roof next to the windows? If it does, then the problem is there, this is where the rigging puts pressure on the coach roof and it will crack. The official mod is re-new the stays to make them lo...

PENTLAND KETCH COCKPIT LOCKER LIDS
My Pentland (WALKABOUT) suffers from cracking locker lids in the cockpit. The sound comes from where the lids meet the cockpit surrounds next to the catches when someone steps on it. Has anyone suffered from the same and has cracked the problem? Please would you let me know how you did it!! I have t...
