This may warrent another daft question alert! Whilst I was rummaging in the stern locker on Chiron, I found a contraption under all the rope and fenders. Towards the port side to the front of the locker there is a greasy mucky looking metal thing about 6" high with a screw arrangement on top. S...

I like the idea of using velcro but think I would rather use the screw option for the top. I would be frightened of the velcro loosing it's sticky over time, though thinking about it, it would be a good bit easier to swap velcro every 10 years than it's going to be getting 30 yr old rotten foam off....
