Re: Cleaning the heads.

We do the same as smudger....seems to work well (we use just ordinary white vinegar ). Watch out for calcification build up in the pipes ( which contributes to smelly heads ). Again, white vinegar will normally dissolve it. Friends of ours empty the oil in a frying pan down the heads when they have ...

Re: Interior size questions

Hello Jens, We had a Konsort for 10 years and ( importantly ) the forward cabin was long enough and wide enough for my wife ( 6 feet ) and myself ( 6feet 6 inches) to comfortably sleep in. They are also great sailing boats even with the twin keels..we now have a Corsair ( if you can stretch your bud...

Re: Westerly Tempest Lewmar Hatch

I've recently replaced our window plastic for the same reason ( Corsair ), and Caroline Hardy at Trafalgar Yachts knew exactly which size I needed. I'd give her a call as she can probably supply as well.

Re: ST50 wind dismantling?

I've just been looking at mine and there doesn't appear to be a way of dismantling the cups from the stalk etc. Generally I'll unscrew and unplug ours from the masthead fitting for the winter and re install in the Spring. Presumably you have a specific reason for wanting to dismantle it that Raymari...

Type face for 'Corsair'

Does anyone know the typeface designation for the 'Corsair' logo on the hull? We need to renew the name of ours and want to put it on the stern in the same graphic/typeface as the 'Corsair' designation appears on the hull?
regards

Re: A power but no light puzzle

Thanks to you all for your helpful replies. As usual it's the simple things that I should have checked first, or maybe I was less tired when I approached the problem this weekend. It turned out that one of the chocolate box connectors inside the light had ( somehow?) melted on the side that was less...

Re: A power but no light puzzle

Thanks for the replies....no issue with grannies and eggs, I need all the help I can get on this one. Wolfgang, you are right about the connections, but I thought they were Vetus ( as per the reading lamps ). I'm replacing the bulbs with l.e.ds but have tried both to no avail. By the way I bought th...

A power but no light puzzle

This winter we've been renewing all the headliners in our Corsair. This week I've been reinstalling all the saloon lights. They've all been cleaned, and most of them are working fine. However, the two light fittings above the saloon table will not work. I've checked the power, and I get 13.2 volts i...

Re: Cabin Lining

We are in the process of completely renewing all of our headliners on our Corsair. When we bought her 13 years ago some of the headliners were sagging and we did exactly as Hawke House are now suggesting to you. Our results were mixed with the foam staying stuck to the cabin roof but the vinyl saggi...

Re: Where to mount a solar panel on a Oceanranger

Gerard, We have a Corsair, almost the same shape as your OR but I agree with Wolfgang about mounting on the deck, firstly there is insufficient space on the decks forward of the mast to mount a 60w + solar panel without blocking a hatch or it overhanging the coachroof somewhere, and the same is true...

Re: Cooker choice?

Hello, we posed the same question in late autumn, and had the same recommendations. We bought the Nelson SpinFlo from Marine Megastore...they were (are?) significantly cheaper than elsewhere. The only issue was it was delivered without the gimbal accessories for which we are still waiting ( expected...
