Re: New Owner Questions - How To Replace Fuse In Switchboard

When you go on The RS spares website , you will find a number of these circuit breakers, some are ac others dc. I chose the ones rated at 2.5 amps but that may be a bit too low the postage is free. My KOnsort has 2 panels each with 8 circuit breakers and I have found 5 to be duff, check them with a ...

Supercool fridges

My recently acquired Konsort has a Supercool fridge fitted. It is a Peltier effect device, has anyone any experience of this system ? I gather it is not so efficient as the compressor type, I am loathe to chuck it out but I have yet to get it to work correctly, Also what is the cool box insulation l...

Re: new mounts OM636 110mm

The engine mounts have been replaced by a stiffer type, I believe. I suggest you ring Manfred Prinz at Westfields who is a mine of information and a supplier of 636 stuff. Shifting the engine back sounds as if it could create more problems than getting correct mounts .

Re: Pressure release cap. Mercedes OM636.

I had a 636 for about 30 yrs and got through 3 Bowman Ht Exchangrs in that time . The first was an old type and an elbow fails due corrosion, the second one was an own gaol as I did not use a 50/50 antifreeze water mix .I did lose water until the rubber covers were tightened up .The Heat Exchanger f...

Konsort Opening Port - Seals

I looked at the rubber seals which are part of the 4 opening ports in my Konsort. They have seen better days. Is there a source /supplier who I can approach ? There is a firm in the New Forest but the seals would probably have to be made up. The name of the manufacturer of the ports would also be he...

Konsort Saloon Lockers

As a new owner of a Konsort built in 1985 I am looking at improving access to the v large spaces under the saloon bunks. Having to lift up the bunk seats seems to be a pain unless one has them divided into 3. I seem to remember that some Konsorts had access to these spaces from the side ,or was this...

Re: Buying a boat 3rd hand

I have recently sold my boat using the RYA forms (You have to be a member otherwise you pay for it ) and I have now purchased a boat from a member of the WOA who was using a modified RYA system. All was done by e mail and it was an easy transaction.
