I have an inboard,a 10hp Nanni diesel,but the over-cautious side of me likes to try and cover all eventualities and although I've had the inboard running and intend giving it a full service it's still a bit of an unknown quantity.

Hi all. I'm shortly to fit an auxiliary outboard bracket to my gk24. Any thoughts as to what size/thickness of ply I should use as a backing to spread the load. Initially it will have a 4hp 4 stroke on it but may go slightly bigger in the near future. As always,Thanks

Hi all.The external woodwork(rubbing strips,toe rails etc) on my new-to-me gk24 is sound but weathered. Best suggestions for reviving it please,preferably not the the varnish method! Thanks

Will definitely be East Coast,am exploring a few different options at the moment,any where between Maldon and Harwich is within easy reach for me. A lot wasier than Gosport anyway. I read somewhere previously that a traffic cone (possibly cut down to fit)underneath the hawse pipe can help the chain lay better. I haven't tried it myself I hasten to add!

Hi all. Am now the proud owner of a Westerly,a 1979 vintage gk24.Have joined the WOA and am sure in due course I'll be asking lots of questions. In the meantime,any opinions on the gk24 would be welcome. I believe they're a (relatively) quick boat although I don't have any plans for racing her.TIA
