Re: Outboard lower unit length for windrush?
Thanks for the input. So, I guess the questions is, should I try to get an extension for the lower unit? Or, is this just how Windrush's are meant to be. I'd like get the kinks worked out before we leave home for the trip. Below is a photo of our boat on her trailer. Does this look normal? Is there ...

(New) windrush outboard Q -=video=-
Hello, We have a westerly windrush (25') that we are refitting for a bahamas cruise. I'm unfamiliar with outboards as a primary motor. The windrush has a locker that the outboard is kept it and it slides out the back when it's needed. It fits the johnson 9.9 the boat came with perfectly. When the ou...

Re: Outboard lower unit length for windrush?
The conclusion that I came up with was the outboard bracket was not slotting all the way into the place and left the outboard slightly kicked out. With that remedied it seems to help. Does anyone have any experience trying to motor in chop? ATM we are working on the boat in a lake and it motors arou...

Re: Sail dimensions for windrush?
Roger,
I'm looking for something more specific. Similar to this site for the nomad.

I've been able to find information for the 25' tiger, but not the windrush.
Thanks,
S

Sail dimensions for windrush?
Hello, My wife and I have been refitting a Windrush to sail the Bahamas this season. The project is coming along well. I was going through the sails and it looks like it's time to upgrade the sail inventory. (maybe a furler) I can't find much information on the Windrush's sail dimensions. Are they t...

Re: Outboard lower unit length for windrush?
We're out of town, but when we get home I'll post a few photos of the motor on the mounting bracket.

Re: Outboard lower unit length for windrush?
Thanks for the reply. We thought it might be to short because when we run the motor the foot seems to be barely in the water and if I go to the bow the exhaust blows out and it sounds terrible. We have the same problem when in reverse. If anyone has any insight on the subject, I'd love to hear it. T...

Outboard lower unit length for windrush?
Hello,
What length outboard is recommended for a windrush? I have a Johnson 9.9 longshaft on it atm and it seem to short. Maybe once it gets loaded down with gear it might sit better. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
s
