Re: Remove Painted Topsides.

Some Westerly yachts were finished from factory in blue I've also seen green, while they looked good when new scuffs and sunlight soon made the hull look tired so were over painted. First thing to check is original colour, and see if it is painted or original finish if it was originally blue then no...

Re: Hot Water leak on Fulmar

If your system doesn't have an expansion tank it will leak due to hot water expanding, my Fulmar is like this and i catch the run off in a bottle.
This winter I'm going to pipe it to a skin fitting in cockpit

Re: Furuno radar

Steve, Furuno very helpful but said no parts available, i found a MK two version available in US Furuno said it would be OK so bought at £220 delivered may get stung for import and VAT but still think its a bargain

Re: Renovations to Fulmar Concerto

Roger, my deck was flaking and had quite a build up, so decided to remove. It was quite an easy job with a Bocsh electric scrapper but use tungsten blades.
Premier paints do westerly deck paint colours at a good price.

Re anchor chain you could always top and tail it

Re: Leaky Konsort roof

The headlining on the Konsort main cabin is fixed to panels these can be dropped quite easy by undoing the fixing screws, I have sometimes just loosened one side and took out the outher which will let the panel drop enough to have a look with a torch if you suspect a problem under a panel

Welcome Dave, I had a Konsort for many years and did quite a bit of work to her.
I bought her from Emsworth.
