Re: Easy Reef In mast Clew haul out track and traveler car replacement

Hi
My car is fine on track, but if it is just car / wheels that you need you are probably best to speak to TRAFALGAR Yachts. I’m am sure they have the wheels.

Re: Easy Reef In mast Clew haul out track and traveler car replacement

Hi
I changed from an easy reef system to a regular main on my Fulmar when I had to replace my mast. I have boom with track and traveller. If you are interested let me know and I can measure it and see if it suits.

Re: Chain Locker Limber Hole

Hi It is too much to have come through anchor chain opening. I pretty much totally blocked off small hole ( I have electric winch.) besides I also plugged hole in bottom of locker. It accumulates under square floor board outside heads and from there underneath heads compartment.I have checked all se...

Re: Chain Locker Limber Hole

Hi Fulmar has same system ie hole in bottom of chain locker which drains into bilge. I am thinking of changing to putting in overboard drain as you suggest. My problem is that I get quite a bit of water into bilge outside heads and it makes its way under heads in heavy seas. I don’t believe it comes...

Re: Sealing chain locker

Yeah I had thought of that but thought that it might take water in through the drain hole ?
Also thought of somehow piping water through bilges to bilge pump ?

Sealing chain locker

In my Fulmar the chain enters the chain locker via a hole in the deck under the electric winch. It then makes its way into the bilges via a drain hole in the base of the chain locker. Has anyone tried to stop this water entering the bilges or divert out of the bilges ??

Re: RE Engine Fulmar

Thanks for reply Roger, I have a Kiwi way prop (3 blade plastic feathering type) which they say will work best with the beta 30 with a 2.5 to 1 gearbox. The 30. Beta revs at max 3600 .
Does this sound ok to you ?? Or would you think you should change prop as well ?

Hi
Has anyone converted a cool box to fridge in fulmar.
I have an old fridge unit fitted to mine ( external motor with cool plate in fridge) I have bought a new one but feel I need to insulate toe cool box.
Don't really want to tear everything to bits
Any ideas??

Re: Anchor chain

Hi
Thanks for the reply. I know the restrictions in anchoring etc., I was more interested in the length of 8 mm chain that would fit comfortably in the chain locker without causing problems and what effect the weight might have in the bow.

Anchor chain

What length of 8mm chain would you recommend carrying on a Fulmar for occasional use. I have an electric windlass so probably all chain would be best.
