Re: Winter lift out for a Pageant
The yard will normally put the props in when setting her down from the hoist, for mine they put 1 under the bow & 1 under each rear quarter. As Willhc said, it's worth asking them to rest her on larger blocks under the keels for ease of antifouling etc.

Butyl tape would me my 1st choice or Arbomast BR if you want it in a tube. It never really sets so is easy to remove.

Depending on what size you need, I normally search for camping/caravanning for stuff like that. https://www.google.co.uk/search?biw=1276&bih=928&tbm=isch&sa=1&ei=6X3xWvTZHY71gQaKv7TwCw&q=small+camping+washing+up+bowl&oq=small+camping+washing+up+bowl&gs_l=img.3..0i24k1.606...

Could be an epoxy barrier coat, or could it be coppercoat has been applied in the past and some has antifouled over the top?

Re: Refinishing external woodwork
Ronseal Hardwood Furniture Stain is my choice, Clear Natural, so that it doesn't colour the teak but brings out the colour of the teak. It doesn't peel like varnish & just touch up any dinks throughout the season.

Re: New boat,new member
Fabulous boats, I had one for a few years based in Walton. Loved everything about it apart from the lack of headroom & still a good looking boat after 40 years. At that time there used to be a lot of information from the GK24 owners group, not sure if it's still active but might be worth a look....

Re: Locker catches
If those push button catches are what you're after, I got mine from a caravan shop. Decent quality without the "marine" mark up.

Re: Sail Cover
I got one from these guys, obviously it's not a tailored fit but I'm happy with it & you would need to know your boom length to get the right one.

Smashing, thank you. But do you mean CT1? As "googling" CT10 didn't return any results of any use.

Rubbing strake filler/sealant
I think this is fairly common on Westerlies where the underside of my teak rubbing strake is filler/sealant where it meets the topsides. This is now falling out in places. What can & would be best to use to re-fill the gaps
Many thanks

Re: Nonslip deck paint
I tried & now use Dulux Weathershield, the exterior masonry paint (with grit not the smooth) & have been happy with the results for the last few years.
Take a sample into B&Q & they'll colour match for you.

Re: Wood burner/solid fuel heater
Thank you, but I can't take any credit for this one, I just found an image on the interweb as an example
. I think this is a B layout, the C layout has an aft galley which would work better for a nice cosy stove.

Re: Wood burner/solid fuel heater
I seem to remember somewhere on the tinternet that they have been fitted in the hanging locker, but they do a good job of heating the locker & forecabin. Personally I would try & find a location on the main cabin bulkhead. As Tyro said work out where the flue will go AND keep good ventilatio...
