Re: Corsair Port light.
When we refurbished our Corsair windows we sourced from Trafalgar Yachts at Fareham. Caroline Hardy can supply all the materials you need.

Mast unstepping and storage in Le Havre
Does anyone know if Stephan Reiset is still in business in Le Havre for demasting and storage. Or of other companies in Le Havre or Rouen offering similar services?
Thanks
Barry

Recommendations for GPSApps
After years of excellent service our (backup) Magellan hand held GPS has died. Before we buy a new one we're wondering if there are any apps out there that would serve as well. We have a B&G Vulcan as our main plotter, plus all charts etc so for use occasionally only. What are other Westerly own...

Re: Volvo 2003
It's possibly your heat exchanger leaking. It should be relatively easy to trace with the engine ticking over.

Re: Solar panel wiring
Hello Steve,
Just read your post on another thread and your panels seem to be doing exactly what you want them to. Thanks for the update.

Re: Solar panel wiring
Hello Steve, I'd be really interested in your experience with your new solar panel and it's wiring. We had a 60w panel for about 10 years that expired 3years ago. We want to buy another, and will probably go for a 100w semi flexible which we don't want to mount permanently but move around as necessa...

Re: Konsort window leaks.
Can't comment on anything other than the forward hatch. Just press from the inside to see if the perspex or glass lifts slightly. If it does that's where the leak is coming from. To repair keep it lifted slightly and press Sikaflex or similar under the rubber seal. Go outside and check that the rubb...

Re: Corsair/Oceanranger -location for fluxgate compass
On our Corsair the fluxgate is fitted underneath the quarter berth just forward of the aft cabin door. Works perfectly.

Have you spoken to Caroline at Trafalgar Yachts. Great font of knowledge on all things Westerly and can probably help you with specs and supply.

Re: Vetus manual windlass
Thanks Patrick. After a lot of tapping and eventually using an extractor I got the whole thing into its component parts and found that two of the bushes needed to be replaced and all the gears etc were dry. Bushes now replaced and the gears well greased and reinstalled. It works better than ever and...

Re: Adult scooters
Hi Nigel, We've used folding bikes for years and have been very happy with them. ( Bought in 2008 from the 'bicycles4you' website ). We thought that the adult scooters may be more convenient in terms of storage and lifting on and off the boat but although that is true we've come to the conclusion th...

Adult scooters
Does anyone have any experience of adult kick scooters? As we refit for the summer we're considering replacing our folding bikes for these.
