But I have seemingly found another named ‘high spirits’for sale in the US. Might try and get some pic...

Is this the Sealord that was dismasted between Ushuaia and Capetown, or is it another one supposedly in the Canaries?
Maybe the one in the canaries, I have no proof but a fairly strong lead.

Re: Sealord Owners

Hola folks and Bump for the thread! Laska (pictured on the Westerly Owners site) may well be our dismasted Sealord. I have emailed the owner who has confimed it and I'll email him again informing him of this thread. Email reply: Hi Chris, you ´d see that the boat need work. im starting in one month...

Looks more like a double-ender an LM 29 I think.

We went North of Arnamurchan for the classic malts in 2008 - it was windy to say the least!

'Akora Be' and 'Bateau' seem legit though, although Akora Be sail no is unknown!

We have up to 33 (ish) accounted for, to a degree of accuracy

Re: Sealord Owners

For sail [sale? Ed...] in Florida it could be another, it could be one we know of which has been renamed, it could be one I have posted before! Still looks like its in good shape. There is also a new one in the states in the new owners book 'Bateau' SD 9 which i'll have to check over in my records! ...

Re: experiences: westerly 33 - conway - corsair?

Hi CMH, many thanks for your response! The only westerly i was onboard was a discuss 33, i found the aft cabin rather cavernous, didn't like it much. But the hull is the same of the W33 and i presume the saloon, galley and fore cabin should be very similar.... due that your father owns a W33, maybe...

Re: experiences: westerly 33 - conway - corsair?

Good post Vegable :D I can say that Mr Shepton's Discuss was lost to a fire rather than pack ice too, either way his exploits speak volumes for the Westerly 33 hull. My father owns a fin-keeled ketch rigged W33, I can say it is comfortable in a seaway having experienced gale force conditions in the ...

Re: Calling all Renown owners

I remember seeing the picture in pbo a few years back, and was interested to hear the story behind it. A shame under the circumstances to hear of the previous owners passing, hopefully getting 'Tor Renown' back to the water will act as a nice tribute. Nice pictures and blog, I'll follow and wish you...
