Hi Chris
I hope you received my list of Sealords which I sent you on Saturday. It included current boat names and earlier ones, plus yard numbers where known.

Re: Tiger fore hatch locking leavers
These handles were alloy, and seemed to break easily. I don't know what company made them but I don't think they are still around.

Re: fasteners storage behind seats centaur
I have been asked many times for these hinges, but have never found a source. Hillary's options sound like the way to go.

Re: Rudder Pintle/ gudgeon on W21
I expect our fabricators could make one, but they may not have a drawing. If you could provide a sketch with dimensions I shall forward it to them for a quote.

Re: Database of Mast Heights?
Most of the Westerly brochures do not list the mast height, but I have found a couple. The W21 mast height is 7.54m and the Tiger/Centaur is 9.44m. This is the actual length of the mast, not the air draft.

Re: Vulcan Draft
I think there were about 31 twin keel Vulcans, so maybe you will get feedback from some other owners. The draft would be based on a normal cruising inventory and full tanks.

Re: Vulcan Draft
The Vulcan brochure shows the draft being 5'0" for fin keel and 4'3" for twin. For info, ballast 3273kg and 3162 respectively.

Re: Mooring at Fareham
The ground either side of the slipway at Fareham is quite hard, just a little muddy. There are two wooden piles south of the slipway which fin keelers can use, plus the wall to the north of the slipway. Twin keelers can beach anywhere either side of the slipway. However, there is no fresh water or e...

Re: Is there a register of sail numbers held anywhere
I have a old Westerly ledger listing the names of original owners in sail number order. I also have some files with details on individual boats, but there are a lot of missing records. If you have any background info on your boat I can see what I have on record.

Re: '86 Corsair Ketch
I have looked through the individual files and found some more Corsair ketches, sail numbers 102, 35, 10 and 9. 102 was a 1986 boat so could be the one in New Zealand. It was originally sold to the Westerly dealer in Denmark.

For info the bushes we supply are not made of nylon! The material we specify is as per the Westerly drawings and is a type of high density polyethylene.
